Get your motors runnin' for this FREE family fun event! With a little family assistance, children design and build a race car out of cardboard. During the main event on Saturday April 16th, the children race their cars around the track complete with a pit stop, in a quest for that checkered flag! Everyone is a winner at the Big Race!

The Big Race is open to all children between the ages of 2 and 8. The event will be held at the Pavilion at Kid's Kingdom in Enterprise Park on Saturday April 16th, races start at 10:00 am. Registration begins at 9:00, and there will be games and activities for the children on Race Day. Parents are encouraged to attend a free workshop that will include tips on building a race car, how to incorporate literacy and science in the race car’s construction, ideas for maintaining a child’s interest in the project, an explanation of race day activities, and a video of last year’s event. The free workshops will last about one hour, and will be held at the following times:
- Friday March 25th @ 5:00 in the Community Room in the Redding Library
- Friday April 1st @ 5:00 in the Community Room in the Redding Library
- Monday April 11th @ 6:00 in the Community Room in the Redding Library
